Janine Waclawski will talk about her observations and learnings as an HR leader during the pandemic. This will include:


  • the important leadership role HR has played as a function during an unprecedented global crisis
  • the impact of the pandemic on what employees want, need and value from their employers and how this has changed over the past 2 years
  • shifts that have occurred in the employer-employee relationship and psychological contract as well as what they portend for the future
  • what we need to be doing to prepare for the wold of work coming out of the pandemic in the near and long term

Janine Waclawski

Senior Vice President and CHRO, Latin America

PepsiCo 


Janine is Senior Vice President and CHRO Latin America. Latin America (LATAM) is a diverse sector of 54 emerging and developing markets: Mexico Foods, Central America & South America (CASA) Foods, Brazil Foods, and Latin America Beverages (LAB) with over 70,000 employees and annual net revenues in excess of $7 billion. Prior to this Janine was Senior Vice President and CHRO, Global Functions and Global Category Groups and Senior Vice President Human Resources and Talent Management for North America Beverages. She also served as VP of HR for PepsiCo Foodservice, and Senior Director of HR for Pepsi Cola North America where she partnered with Marketing, Public Affairs, Franchise Development and Finance.  Janine joined PepsiCo in June 2002 as Senior Director of Organization and Management Development. Before joining Pepsi, Janine was a principal consultant in the Strategic Change practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers and a senior consultant at W. Warner Burke Associates. 

Janine has published numerous articles, book chapters and two books.  She served as co-editor of the Professional Practice book series for the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and was an editorial board member of Human Resource Development Quarterly.   She was also a columnist for The Industrial Organizational Psychologist.  She has been an adjunct professor at Columbia University and Hunter College and an invited speaker, panel chair, and discussant at many conferences.  

Janine received her B.A. in psychology from Stony Brook University and her Ph.D. from Columbia University. She is married to Allan Church.  In her free time enjoys relaxing with him (and their cats) in their home in the woods of Pound Ridge, NY.
