Please join us March 20th for Career day. METRO has a great line-up of panelists that will explore and discuss major career options available to I/O and OD professionals, students, and those looking to make career transitions. Join us to hear early career and senior practitioners discuss the competencies employers are seeking, and how to gain the upper hand in your job search.

The full agenda is listed below and includes internal practitioners, academics, external practitioners, and young professionals. You will have an opportunity to talk with experts about issues in your career development and connect with local professionals through a series of networking sessions.

Some issues and questions the panels will address are:

  • Differences between the internal and external consultant role.
  • Shifts in skills for the current work environment.
  • Technical and non-technical resources available for help in the job search.
  • How can I provide added value or distinguish myself from everyone else?
  • Perspectives on how careers progress.
  • What do employers want to see on my resume?
  • Current trends in job markets
  • Internships - are they out there, and if so, how do I get one?
