METRO Members and friends,

Welcome back! Welcome back from a long Labor Day weekend and welcome back from too short a summer. The METRO Board hasn't rested and we have been working all summer to bring you what we think is an exciting '07-'08 speaker schedule.

Our fall schedule is already complete and begins with Dr. David Bartram, Director of Research, SHL Group on Tuesday, September 18th. So remember to save that date and register early to avoid the crush at our opening reception. Our list of speakers and workshop leaders for the year include:

October 18th: Dr. Skip Leonard, CEO, World Institute for Action Learning (October speaker and half-day workshop leader on Action Learning)

November 14th: Dr. David Campbell, Sr., Fellow, Center for Creative Leadership "Leadership in the Context of Life"

December 13th: Dr. Kevin Murphy, Professor, Penn State University, "Content Validity and the Easter Bunny"

For Winter 2007 and Spring 2008, we are looking forward to hearing presentations from:

Feb. 28th Dr. Michael Beer, Professor Emeritus, Harvard Business School (Ground Hogs Day Speaker)

April TBA: Dr. Victor Vroom, Yale University, and

Date TBA: Drs. Robert T and Joyce Hogan, Hogan Assessment Systems.

In addition to our individual speakers, we are anticipating recreating some of the great panel discussions from SIOP '07 such as those on Talent Management, Women's Leadership Issues, and I/O Psychologists in Sr. HR Roles. As these dates are firmed up, they will be posted on our website at www.metroapppsych.com where you can always find the latest changes to our schedule.

It is also time to renew your membership for the 2006-2007 METRO year..... or maybe a great opportunity to come back to METRO if you have not been active in recent years.
