Event Details:

Manhattan has long been a world center for psychological science and practice as well as for commerce. How much do we know about the remarkably rich history of I-O psychology in Manhattan? What part has METRO played in this, and what will the future look like?

Here, METRO offers a 60-minute forum in three parts: (1) Melissa Woroschinski Search presents a new, illustrated 30-minute overview of a century of I-O psychology in New York City--its people, places, events. (2) As discussants, two esteemed I-O Professors, Walter Reichman and Allen Kraut, raise issues about the past and future of I-O psychology in the City. (3) This segues into a moderated 15-minute audience dialog on I-O psychology in the City.

Moderator: Harold Takooshian is Professor of Psychology & Urban Studies at Fordham University, and Director of its Organizational Leadership Program.

Presenter: Melissa Woroschinski Search is a New York City businesswoman, an honors student and researcher at Fordham University.

Walter Reichman is Vice President of OrgVitality, and Professor Emeritus at Baruch College, CUNY.
Allen I. Kraut is a consultant, and Professor Emeritus of Management at Baruch College, CUNY.
